What We're About
What We're About
Our Vision
The Future Brain Trust focuses on the
re-visioning of human culture.
This culture is equitable, empathetic and based on maintaining a balanced water, food, and energy nexus.
"How is
Water-Food-Energy incorporated
into future
paradigm planning?"
Our work progresses the United Nation's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
"What is a nonpolluting, non-Faustian
human culture
look like?"
Our Mission
The Future Brain Trust is a community of expert-dreamers and expert-doers, individuals who know their craft and execute plans to build a resilient future.
Our multidisciplinary approach supports organizations in their "glocal" operations and strategy. We do this through research, knowledge sharing, education, and working alongside during implementation.
Our Objective
Our Objectives
"I come as One, I stand as Ten Thousand”
The FBT believes strength and the power of change lies in numbers. We want to create a community of experts in technology, design, finance, the social sciences, etc. Public and private organizations partner with FBT for inspiration and practicality.
We help strengthen, expand, and better connect the FBT community, broader industries, and innovation, and climate security ecosystems
To achieve this, we focus on convening opportunities and engagements that support learning, promote collaboration, and provide spaces for enhanced global exchange, networking, and research.
4 Pillars of Human Culture
Our Focus
In approaching the re-visioning of human culture, there are 4 main "pillars" that comprise its trajectory and formation. These pillars are confluent with each other, inevitably intertwining with water, food, and energy.
Finance
"We need the accounting to make as much sense as the morals."
The reason why we haven't acted responsibility towards nature and society is because we have two mechanisms that, so far, have been in opposition to the other: accounting and morals.
Resilient finance is how we can quickly create a resilient society. Our research covers the design and development of new technologies, policies, and financial instruments and its relationship to the Nexus.
Technology
"The dream of technology is that we are all inextricably connected to each other"
Technology revolutionizes every system, within every organization, within every sphere. As our future increasingly becomes interdependent with technology, it is also our opportunity for collective dreaming and doing.
The FBT engages deeply in understanding and forecasting how technological waves impact industries and communities.
Social Equity
"The good we secure for ourselves is precarious and uncertain until it is secured for all of us and incorporated into our shared life"
The FBT aims to foster greater social inclusion and equality through our work and via our community partners.
Art
"Art is when a human tells another human what it is to be human".
The FBT believes in the inalienable right to be human. Art supports and inspires us in choosing to be more human.
